Dear friends:  Many thanks to all 4,580 of you who supported me during my inaugural campaign. We all know that this isn't an end; it's just a beginning.  A lot of people have been asking me what's next; I'm thinking about that myself, and will figure something out after November 7th 2006.  Meanwhile, let's elect some people whose values make sense!

Read. Think. Decide.

An end to politics as usual.

I'm not a politician; I'm an engineer. Engineers are trained to tackle complex problems, break them down into their component elements, and solve them. That kind of approach is what government needs, and what government should be about.

I'm running my campaign the way that I, as a voter, think that a campaign should be run. During the Democratic Primary I'm not accepting campaign contributions. I'm out there on the issues, and I make no apologies for my opinions. In a five minute visit to this website you can quickly judge where I stand. I respect your right to disagree with me. If you decide that I'm not your guy, well then fine - go vote for somebody else. I just want to make sure that we send the best possible representative from the Kentucky 3rd District to Washington.

If you like this kind of campaign strategy, please read further. Review the issues. Think about your choices, and decide who you'd like to send as your representative to the U.S. Congress. I don't want your money, but I'd be honored to have your vote.

The Jimmy Pledge: I will never take a single dime from any lobbyist or special interest group - ever.
